Aloha Hawaii IPL Conference Guests:

We are pleased to announce the 2nd Annual Hawaii Intellectual Property Licensing Conference, co-sponsored by the State High Technology Development Corp. (HTDC) and the Intellectual Property & Technology (IPT) Section of the Hawaii State Bar Association (HSBA).  The theme of this year's IPL Conference is “Turning New Technologies & Creative Ideas Into Profits”.  It will focus on practical business models, marketing methods, and licensing resources to assist Hawaii entrepreneurs with selling or licensing technology inventions and creative ideas successfully.

The Conference will be held on Friday,October 20, 2006, in the Hibiscus Ballroom of the Ala Moana Hotel in Honolulu.  Ourvisitingguestspeaker is Richard C. Levy, a marketing tour de force who has licensed some 150 inventions generating over a billion dollars.  These products include animatronic Furby, which has sold to date over 43 million units worldwide.  Richard will also lead a special “bring-your-questions” workshop on “How to Find, Contact & Negotiate with Licensees” with answers that are state-of-the-market to give you the added edge. 

Our special guest speaker at lunch is Henk B. Rogers, President and CEO of Blue Planet Software, Inc., who has made a huge success in licensing of IP rights to Tetris™ and other video games in Hawaii.
